The lawsuit filed against YouTube by Apple co-founder

It has become effortless to hack YouTube accounts, given its depth and accessibility. In a lawsuit filed yesterday by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniack, it was alleged that YouTube profits from scams unearthed on their platform. Furthermore, the lawsuit claimed that images and videos of the co-founder were easily used to access accounts and defraud users on social media.

In Steve’s account, hackers used his images and raised bitcoin by claiming that Steve would return double the amount paid at the requested URL. Wozniack, along with 17 other plaintiffs, has said that YouTube is aware of such activities and has not taken the required procedures to stop them.

Crypto giveaways are on the surge

A fake SpaceX YouTube account took away $150,000 last month and left Elon Musk perplexed. A report claimed that hackers have vanished with approximately $24 million in the first six months of 2020. Lastly, it is claimed that YouTube helped scammers to steal $130,000 from the total. Crypto giveaways rob users of their digital currencies with a promise of remarkable returns.
