Mark Zuckerberg’s joining Israeli Facebook group raises a storm of questions

The founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, raised a storm of questions after joining an Israeli secret community on his well-known social media website.

Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post pointed out that Zuckerberg joined last week the secret group called “Secret Tel Aviv” that includes 220 thousand members.

The newspaper continued: “However, no one has noticed him until Monday when a number of members welcomed him.”

The billionaire responded to the members’ welcoming by saying: “Hey – I’m glad to be here to stay more connected with Tel Aviv. It’s been too long since my last visit. Thanks for creating this community!”

It is not known when Zuckerberg had last visited Israel, but the newspaper suggested it was in 2012.

A number of respondents questioned the reason of his joining, saying that this Israeli group has nothing interesting like the other Facebook groups, whose members discuss different topics about clothing, housing, restaurants, and health products.

One group member sarcastically commented: Zuckerberg “finally has enough money to buy an apartment in Tel Aviv.”
